Talking Tequila and Cinco de Mayo with Jorge Martinez

Did you know that Cinco de Mayo is *not* Mexican Independence Day? It is an annual celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.

Cinco de Mayo is more popularly celebrated in the United States than in Mexico. This is largely due to beer advertising in the 1980s. Today, Cinco de Mayo generates beer sales on par with the Super Bowl!

In the U.S. Cinco de Mayo has been a day devoted to celebrating all of the best of Mexican-Americans culture.

  1. You actually make it seem so easy with
your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think
I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for
    me.
I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
