Welcome to our blog! This is our first blog of 2021 on our new site. We want you to get to know us, and the idea behind the show. Join us on our journey as we travel across the Pacific Northwest Discovering The High Life.
In our first blog we wanted to answer the question, “What is Discovering The High Life?” and introduce you to the family behind the show.
We are the Wuolle Family – Tim, Mirelle, Sammy, Lucas and our Labradoodle Bella living in Seattle, WA.

Tim is from Wisconsin and I am from Brazil. Tim and I met in the winter of 2000 in Wisconsin. We were both working at Cascade Mountain Ski and Snowboard Area. I was working there in an international student program and Tim was working for the free ski pass. One day, we met at a work party, and at the end, I asked him for a ride, and the rest is history…we been together ever since.
We both like to eat, sample wine and beer, travel, hike, and enjoy new experiences with new people. Prior to being a producer, Tim has been a ski & snowboard rental technician, cook, pizza maker, bartender, produce department manager, liquor department manager, and wine selector. He has also worked in news and sports video production. I was a waitress, hostess, and bartender. I also worked in Hotels in various positions including Manager on Duty and Director of Sales.
Now we would like to share our knowledge, past experiences, and love for food and adventure, with you.
About Discovering the High Life

A brief history of Discovering The High Life. We started Discovering The High Life in 2010 while living in Phoenix, AZ to support small, local businesses and local events. We set out to show you some of the best local spots for food, drink, and fun. And in the process, we were able to introduce our viewers to the people crafting the food, beer, and wine we all love. We had fun going behind the scenes and learning more about businesses and helping the owners tell their stories.
At some point life got crazy and we put the show on hold. After a long hiatus we brought back a new Season of our show in 2020! Now more than ever it is important to support our local businesses. So in these crazy times we decided to start producing episodes again.
Our Mission
Small local businesses are struggling and we want to support them.
Our mission is simple. Seek out awesome local businesses. Then meet the people and tell their stories, to learn more about their products, or the work they are doing.
This is a Zero budget show. We do not charge businesses to be on the show. We are doing this as a way to give back to the community. If you would like to help, please consider donating to our show. Here are some ways you can support our mission:
