QT FOOD TRUCK AT POSTDOC BREWING

We always like featuring local businesses for food and drink and it’s awesome when we can get both into one episode! Thanks to Jason, the manager from Postdoc Brewing in Redmond, Washington for letting us come out and do some filming. If you haven’t been there you’re gonna want to check them out. They’ve got awesome selection of beer on tap and they’ve also got growlers and cans to go. They’ve got plenty of space indoor & outdoor where you can spread out and they’ve also got a rotation of food trucks. And one of their favorite food trucks is QT Food Truck that has Mexican food, and you can find them there almost every Wednesday night. We are going to introduce you to chef Misa, co-owner of QT Food Truck.

about qt food truck

Chef Misa Avila – Hi guys how’s it going!? So my name is Misa. I’m one of the owners of QT Food Truck. We’re one of the Mexican food trucks that are rolling around here in Redmond and the Northwest. We try to stick with as authentic as you can get. You can see we fill up the patio, bring everybody in. We use only the best cuts of meat. You’ll see little snapshots of how we’re cooking your meat on the spot, making everything fresh for you guys!

What is your signature item?

Chef Misa Avila – So my signature item for this truck would be my steak. We use only the top cut steaks and we don’t do anything crazy. All we do is a little seasoning salt, and that gives it the best flavor.

How do you make your al pastor taco?

Chef Misa Avila – My al pastor taco is marinated pork. And then we sautĂ©ed with some pineapple right on top of the grill. Topped with fresh pico de gallo, fresh guacamole, and just a little bit of cheese to hold everything together. We have always have some fresh guacamole to go with your tacos and a little bit of pico de gallo. We don’t do cilantro and onions like everybody else. We might make it a little different because if I got to eat it three times a day, I gotta enjoy it.

How Often is qt out? Where can we find you?

Chef Misa Avila -We’re out seven days a week. We’re out twice. We’re doing lunch in the morning and then we’re doing dinner in the afternoon, so we’re always out. We’re easy to be found. If you like good beer we’re always somewhere where the good beer is. We do all the breweries and wineries around town so we’re easy to find. I got QT Food Truck on facebook & instagram. We’re everywhere. I got my live calendar posted everywhere I post it once a week. Or on the website I got it posted through the whole year. Contact us if you’ve got any special events that you want to book.
